Article Processing Charge (APC) Waivers
INVESTIGATION OF LIFE SCIENCE is committed to ensuring that publication fees do not become a barrier to open access. Full or partial APC waivers are therefore available for authors who cannot afford the standard charge.
Who is eligible
- Authors from low-income countries, as classified by the World Bank (low-income and lower-middle-income economies). Authors uncertain about their country’s classification may consult the current World Bank list.
- Special cases at the discretion of the editorial office (for example, early-career researchers without funding, or authors in regions affected by conflict or natural disaster).
What is covered
- A full waiver covers the entire APC (¥200 CNY).
- A partial waiver may be granted in cases of demonstrated partial financial need.
How to apply
- Submit your manuscript through the journal’s submission form as usual.
- Send a separate waiver request by email to papers@sinovita.com.cn at the time of submission, briefly stating your country of affiliation and reason for the request.
- The editorial office will respond within 5 working days.
Important notes
- Applying for a waiver has no influence on the editorial or peer-review decision.
- Waivers are evaluated independently of the manuscript’s scientific content.
