All manuscripts submitted to INVESTIGATION OF LIFE SCIENCE undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and scientific integrity of the published work.
- Initial screening. The editorial office checks each submission for scope, originality, and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements are returned to the authors without external review.
- Peer review. Manuscripts that pass screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. Review is conducted openly (open review): the identities of authors and reviewers are disclosed to each other. Reviewers assess scientific soundness, methodology, and significance.
- Editorial decision. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor recommends one of: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Revised manuscripts may be sent for re-review.
- Final decision. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance.
